The Quiet

Introduction

In a world where the celebration of extraordinary traits intertwines with the intricate connection of one’s inner self and outward appearance, the Quiet Genre emerges as an enigma. UThe Quiet Genre is a genre for those that are unassuming in appearances. This genre looks mostly human, yet can have a variety of magical abilities, or none at all. Often the echoes who present as the Quiet Genre are seen as ‘safe’. Not harmless, they just seem more stable mentally.

Appearance

The appearance of a Quiet can be even more varied than that of living humans. Most the time Quiet’s look human-ish. They can be very short, very tall, blue eyed to purple eyes. The big thing that sets them apart from the other Genre’s is that they could pass for a normal human. Slightly different eyes, or hair is fine but if a Quiet was suddenly put back on earth they won’t draw too much attention to themselves other than being a little eccentric. This eccentricity could be in the form of strange tattoos, unnatural skin markings and more.

Why would anyone become a Quiet?

A soul’s echo may take the form of a Quiet for a couple of reasons. One could be that they were particular attached to how they looked as a human. Pride in how one looks may just have made it so the soul itself is particularly attached to the human form. Another reason might be that the soul isn’t sure what else it could possibly so it went with the baseline. When the soul reforms into a new echo after dying it could very well change what Genre it presents as. It is not uncommon for echos to change Genre’s after a death.

Conclusion

The Quiet Genre usually houses the wizards, witches, and clerics of Rumor. Not always but it is common. Any magics that do not involve being shown outwardly on their appearance are open to the Quiet Genre.
